Quarter 3, Week 8

Good evening, parents!

Kindergartners and first graders have been wrapping up some very beautiful projects this week, and I am excited for their finished products at the end of next week.

Kinders are finishing their apple projects inspired by Paul Cezanne's Apples and Oranges.  They have put their oil pastel skills to very good use, and I am quite proud of all they have accomplished.  They now have a firm grasp on the concept of shading and how this technique creates the illusion of 3D on a 2D surface.

First graders are almost done with their underwater scenes inspired by Henri Matisse's Seaweed.  They have done a wonderful job tracing and coloring the seaweed shapes and are now cutting them out and getting ready to arrange them on a background.

Great job to all our Kindergarten and First Grade students!  They have been working so hard this week, and they should be very proud of how much they've created this week.  Have a great weekend!
